SCCC has a proud sporting tradition, offering opportunities across seven Academy Sports: Netball, Rugby League, Soccer, Touch Football, Basketball, Cricket and AFL. Our Secondary Academy teams represent the College with skill and pride at regional, state and national competitions, building on a legacy of excellence and sportsmanship.
With expert coaching, outstanding opportunities, and strong links to the wider community, SCCC Sports Academy isn’t just about the scoreline—it’s about building confidence, leadership, and lifelong friendships, while setting students up for success on and off the field. Our Netball Academy offers opportunities from Prep to Year 12 which is a unique and highly sought after opportunity.
Our students benefit from extensive sporting facilities, including multiple ovals, a fully enclosed multi-purpose hall and a gym. Whether competing at the highest levels or enjoying inter-house carnivals, every student is encouraged to embrace an active lifestyle and discover the joy of participation.
From the earliest years, sport is a key part of College life. Primary students take part in weekly Friday Sport rotations, providing them with opportunities to explore a wide range of physical activities and develop fundamental skills in a fun, inclusive environment. As they progress, students are encouraged to participate in the North Queensland (NQ) School Sport pathways and various Gala days, where SCCC enjoys consistently high levels of representation and achievement across multiple disciplines.
