At Southern Cross Catholic College, leadership is about more than titles- it is about service to others. Guided by our College Vision and the example of Mary, Help of Christians, our student leaders are called to lead with compassion, courage and justice, ensuring that all members of our community are empowered to Love, Serve and Shine.

College Captains

Our College Captains represent the voice of the student body. They lead College events, represent SCCC in the wider community, and model servant leadership in all they do. Their role is to inspire others, foster unity, and promote the values of our College in every setting.

Ministry Leaders

Our Ministry Leaders play a vital role in shaping the spiritual and social heart of the College. They lead initiatives across four key areas:

  • Faith & Pastoral – supporting liturgies, prayer, and faith formation opportunities.
  • Stewardship & Sustainability – promoting care for creation and sustainable practices across the College.
  • Community Connections & Service – strengthening ties with the wider community through service projects and outreach.
  • Social Justice – advocating for equity, compassion, and action on behalf of those in need.

House Leaders

Our House Leaders for Castle (Red), Elliot (Blue), Hervey (Gold), Louisa (Purple) and Stuart (Green) are at the heart of College spirit.

They encourage participation, teamwork and belonging through inter-house competitions in sport, academics and cultural events. House Leaders build camaraderie and ensure that every student feels valued as part of their House family.

The Importance of Servant Leadership

Throughout the year, our leaders organise events, support charitable initiatives, lead assemblies, represent the College at community occasions, and act as role models for their peers. Their leadership is not about being in front, but about lifting others up, ensuring that the gifts of every student can shine.

Servant leadership at SCCC is more than an opportunity - it is a responsibility and a calling. It is an essential facet of College life that nurtures confident, compassionate young people who are prepared to lead and serve well beyond their school years.
